Is yamaha pianos good for classical music?

Does Yamaha pianos have less than 88 keys? Why manufacturers put less than 88 keys in some pianos?
Typical pianos have 88 keys, I know.But my friend said his yamaha piano has less than 88 keys....not even close to 88....can that be true? He sold it, and never counted it, but its a yamaha piano ebony. Which models of yamaha pianos have less than 88 keys and how many keys are there in those pianos?And why would the manufacturers put less than 88 keys?

Which one should I get? Yamaha Pianos/Keyboards!? Help?

While the first one is just a simple Portable Piano.But, the second one is A LOT MORE expensive than the first in our country.Which do you recommend?
