How much do you think these piano repairs would cost?
My piano isn't in bad shape, but there are a few problems. Several years ago, a mis balance of several ill placed music books fell on the keyboard and broke off the top part of the black key on A3 , and the black key on G3 won't sound. I don't know what's wrong, but I can't imagine the hammer would of broken from falling books, plus I never recovered it if it had when I moved it it's an old upright . I'm scared to open the piano because it's tough to and I fear I'll break the frame.The A3 key I'm sure can be re glued or something. It's just wood after all. I don't know what's wrong with the other key, but it won't sound any note. And to top that off, my piano needs to be tuned as well.I don't live close to someone who can do these repairs, so before I go calling around I wanted rough estimates of what this might cost. Repairs? Parts, maybe? Or even the tuning alone?
