Well I was kind of interested in getting an electronic keyboard never seriously played before and I was wondering what I should make sure it has if I ever get one number of keys, certain feature, or anything else that's important I'm a beginner.. soo yeah, I still want to be able to play good songs and stuff though, I don't want one with too few keys for many songs or one that's too hard to use for a person starting out.Thanks P
My electronic keyboard is a half step off?
I just got a spectrum 61 key electronic keyboard for christmas, since I wanted a keyboard in my room, instead of always having to use my grand piano..Anyways, the pitch of the keyboard is one half step off, I compared it to an online tuner, and my original piano. The piano is perfectly in pitch btw, so please don't say that maybe the piano is off pitch and not the keyboard. So is there anything I can do to fix the problem? Or should I send it back to the manufacturer?

Electronic Keyboard For Piano Beginner?
A few days ago I decided to purchase a second hand yet still brand new electronic keyboard off of a site that is similar to ebay only it's specifically for where I live . It set me back fifty dollars but I'm hoping that it will be well worth it.Anyway, here are my questions For someone who is just beginning to learn how to play the piano, was this a good idea to start small , or should I have waited until I could find a real piano?Does anyone else have a " Yongmei YM638 " keyboard that is the brand and model of the one I bought , if so, is it decent for someone who is just beginning to learn?Should I start with the basics or just dive right in and learn how to play a song by myself?I learn quite quickly, even so, how long does it take to reach a decent level of ability?I borrowed a level one piano book from a friend of mine, should I just start there?Is an electronic keyboard essentialy just a cheap piano, or are there any major differences in the way they are played?Please don't feel obligated to respond to all of the questions, and thank you for your help.
